Plants don't run on schedules. They run on soil moisture, temperature, root density and a dozen other things that change daily.

Terracotta is different. The walls are full of microscopic pores. Water moves through them in direct response to soil needs. When your plant is thirsty, moisture draws through the clay faster. When the soil is already moist, it slows. The plant controls the rate. Not you.
